Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were cosy, comfortable, and each unique, providing a warm and quiet atmosphere. However, they were located at the top of several flights of stairs with no lift, which was a bit inconvenient. The service was incredibly nice and welcoming, with a friendly and helpful staff. The location was idyllic beside the sea and a lake, offering a relaxing retreat, but it closed early in the evening. The dining was fabulous overall, but the vegetarian option lacked variety in vegetables, and unpeeled fruit in the salad was a downside. The facilities were well-kept and overall satisfactory.
The hotel is situated in a stunning location, close to the Atlantic Way and nestled in the scenic part of Connemara. The rooms, although a bit worn out and in need of some refreshing, offer lovely views of the surroundings. The service is exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant stay overall. The dining experience is varied and satisfying with a notable selection of fish dishes. The hotel's facilities are well-maintained, offering a comfortable stay for guests.
The hotel had a mix of positives and negatives. The room was spacious and clean with a lovely beach view, but the furniture was old and mismatched, and there was a strange smell and dead bugs. The service was friendly and efficient, although the kitchen had limitations in preparing certain dishes. The location was outstanding, offering a tranquil and natural setting for exploring nearby attractions. The dining experience was above average despite some issues with the kitchen closing unexpectedly. Overall, a decent option with some room for improvement.
The hotel offers comfortable rooms with some privacy issues due to the big broad windows. Although it was a bit pricey at 187 Euro, the rooms are cozy. The service provided by Hotel Manager Ronnie Counihan was exceptional, making the stay truly welcoming. The location is fantastic, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Dining options were good overall, but some minor drawbacks were noted. The facilities offered meet the guests' needs for a pleasant stay.
The hotel offers a clean and comfortable stay with a lovely view, but some areas might need more attention in terms of cleanliness. The staff is a mix of poor service and extreme professionalism. The location is superb, close to a beautiful beach and the national park, despite some drawbacks of an old hotel feel. The dining experience is above average with a delicious breakfast choice. Overall, a mixed but pleasant experience.
